Well you could say the jeep runs on gas which turns the alternator which powers to the winch........No?

hmm not sure how safe having a gas power winch will be.. plus a little uneconomical.

primary question is Why?

I get the whole "thinking outside of the box" theory...but a gas powered winch?

You must be really bored.

where would your solar panels be? and how will they not get damaged off roading?

Well. I was talking to couple of guys about winches and they asked about gas powered and I'm really not looking at green I mean. Jeeps at much of a gas saver but I would like be able to take a winch and use it from the front or the back if I needed to so I was thinking I mean I can do it with a elect winch I would just run termanels to the rear and just build a plate or box I can just put in. A reciever

Maybe integrate them into the winch itself ;)
