there's lots of jeeps here, but they're prissy city jeeps. the guy down the street from me has the only sweet jeep i've seen and he beats the crap out of it.

aspjeepguy 07-28-2010 07:21 AM

Wheeling places me are kinda hard to find but if you know the right people you can find them.

We have some local clubs in Buffalo and down to Erie PA.

WNYM and WNYO are the most local to the Buffalo area.. FL4x4 has been around for like 30 years and is Rochester Based but has members in the buffalo area.. Twisted Toys and BC4W are based out of the corning/elmira area.. Erie Jeep People is the closest P.A club to WNY.

Thank god for Snow. Makes normal roads into Trails!

Me and a friend with a Grand Cherokee have been going wheeling and having a blast. learning the basics on recovery :)

I know some roads that are legal but fun, at least with the snow, not sure how it will be come springtime.

Akron NY, anyone know any jeep shops in the Buffalo area?

Fizzgiz 06-14-2011 12:14 AM

If you're ever East a ways, I'm in Brant Lake, a little north of Lake George. There are some places around here.

United 4wd in clarence. If your looking for repairs. United is not a parts store but they can get you parts if need be, Especially if you have them do the work you need done. If I lived in WNY I wouldn't trust any other mechanic in wny then the guys at united to do the work on my jeep. They are extremely knowledgable about all things offroad and 4wd as well as trully a awesome group of guys.. Nothing but good things to say about them as you can tell. I will get you there number later this morning if you want it.. :punk:

I'm sure we can handle whatever you could possibly think of Jeep related. I own a full service automotive repair shop that specializes in off road vehicles. We also provide full fabrication services as well. We have a Mill, lathe, iron worker, several welders and a CNC plasma cutter that I am in the process of setting up. With more to come. From simple budget boost and tires to full competition rig, we can help you out. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Both shops do everything 4wd related and do it very well.. You can't go wrong with either one. Not only will you be dealing with very knowledgable guys but easy going as well..

HEY ERIC, That Perty XJ or yours still going :D

KneesCollapsing 06-15-2011 01:26 PM

Ahhh I know exactly where this is know! Right behind the fireplace store, correct? I will be getting in touch very soon!

LowBudget 06-16-2011 12:52 PM

Yes, we do gear changes and locker installs.

Of course the XJ is still going without fail. It's coming apart soon for another project. The chassis will be for sale with engine, transmission, suspension, cage, bumpers and fuel cell. It could be completed any way if someone wants depending on what they want to spend.

Sorry to bump such an old thread but this is the newest one I could find. Just got the new Jeep and am looking to take it out and see what it can do. Anyone know anywhere to go that isn't too far from Buffalo and want to meet up, let me know.

Stock 2011 Wrangler Sport, General Grabber AT/2's. Never been off-road before so looking for something "beginner level".

Only public legal option in the area outside of winter seasonal roads.. But those are only fun if there is snow on them
