4.10's and ARB's and other goodies
so got the refunds in the mail :) and an xtra 400 a month now so my questions/thoughts are:
1. Bolt on Cage (rockhard or PSC if the ever price it)
2. engine/oil pan skid
3. rocker guards and corners
4. some other goodies led taillights set of lightforce lights etc....
5. the big one live in ohio and sometimes dad and g/f drive the jeep so i was thinking of putting arb's front and rear. had one in the rear of my xj a while back and loved it. i can get the entire kit for around 1500 bucks. i also wanna go with 4.10's so i dont have to buy a second rear locker when i upgrade tire size later down the road. what all do i need to do this. i buy both lockers and a compressor. my question is about gears should i call randy? and also how hard is this to do in my buddies garage and can i get a list of tools i would need to do it. we both are very decent mechanics installing lifts winches and the like just never tore into axles before. any and all input is welcomed.
i will probably do #5 first when the refunds come in and 1-4 over the period of several months waiting for spring.
thanks every one.
ARB's are great, just don't know how hard it would be, to install yourself. But great choice, in lockers.
i am still kicking around the idea to have someone else do it. its a fairly expensive mistake if i make one.
400-600 bucks labors what i guess
Love my ARB's. Keep in mind most issues with arb's are a result of poor install. Thus, have someone who has done several gear and arb install's do yours, it will be well worth the cost. Perhaps they will let you sit in as they do it.
