True cost to install a 4.0l

i have a 2.5l and need a new motor. i have been pricing out motors. but does anyone know what the true cost to swap? i know if i stay with the 4 all i need to swap is the motor. so i know that will be cheaper. but if not much cheaper then i will go the 4.0 way. if anyone could help that did the swap...:punk:

I'd think the price estimates you're looking for would depend on what I6 and AX-15 you find. Seems like they could range from a few $100 on CL to a couple thousand for getting a completely rebuilt one. Not to mention a transfer case, which I'm not sure if the ones on our 4 bangers are compatible with the I6 and AX-15. What I am sure about though, is that many others will be chiming in real soon here giving you feedback. Good luck with this swap and keep us informed on what you're going to do!:wavey:
