18 inch rockstars with 32 inch tires no lift????

Hello i just got the 2010 jeep wangler mountain unlimited and i was wondering if i could put 18 inch rockstars in a 32 inch tire with no lift. If i can or can not can you tell me what size i can...
thanks

InfernoGirl 07-25-2010 11:13 PM

32's fit a JK fine stock. Welcome to the forum. :wavey:

KBR97 07-25-2010 11:17 PM

Of course you can,... A 32 in tire is already on the mountain edition, with a 17 in rim.
So your gonna replace the 32's that came on the jeep just to get a rim thats 1inch larger than the factory ones. Seems like a waste. Just buy the rockstars in 17 then you dont need new tires.

Pssst! KBR.... (I think it's all about the "Rock Stars")......... shhhhh!

cameron 07-25-2010 11:32 PM

ok thats great but how do you think that will look?
and what would be the best 32 inch combo for it?

distortedtj 07-25-2010 11:39 PM

Your stock tires are the metric equivilant to 32's. ;)

Look...not my cup of tea but looks are up to you.

Here are a few , most not stock lift but will give you an Idea....

stock jeep jk with rockstar wheels - Google Search

cameron 07-25-2010 11:39 PM

and i am getting rid of the rims because my brother just bought a rubicon and wants those rims...

InfernoGirl 07-25-2010 11:43 PM

Your brother wants your Mountain wheels? Take his Rubi's, and call it done, or have him paint his....

cameron 07-25-2010 11:52 PM

very true and yes
but i was kind of looking for some nitto mud grapplers any way.
but im still not sure how it will look because im not lifting it?
iv seen the lifted ones with rockstars but i haven't seen any with out

cameron 07-26-2010 12:10 AM

and are 20s to big on a jeep with no lift and 32 inch tires?

kwchiro 07-26-2010 07:55 AM

IF you find 17 inch rockstars please let me know. I looked for them and could only find 18 inch as the smallest size.

According to KMC's website, thats the smallest size made (at least currently)

There is a 17" Dually Rockstar, whatever "dually" means. 2 back wheels per side, dually?

cameron 07-26-2010 10:15 AM

ok yeah
but dually is like an f350 the one with 4 wheels on the back...
but what about the 20 inch rockstars in the 32 inch tires

why would you want such a big rim? 17s is the max for me. I guess to each his own but your jeep is gonna look a little odd in my opinion.

Here is a jeep with the 20 inch wheels in question. To each his/her own.

KBR97 07-26-2010 11:21 AM

cameron 07-26-2010 12:35 PM

so what about 18 inch rockstars on 32 inch nitto mud grapplers.......

kwchiro 07-26-2010 01:06 PM

Not sure.. try a google image search and see what you think.

pakman55 07-26-2010 01:14 PM

functionaly the smaller the rim the better (the tires will be cheaper as well) The more sidewall the better IMHO

baja 07-26-2010 01:34 PM

18-20 inch?Wrong forum.

IndyJeepMan 07-26-2010 01:45 PM

Haha that Jeep has 20's with M/Ts with a 3" sidewall. What a joke.

pakman55 07-26-2010 01:51 PM

the tread goes down to the rim lol

yj-genral 07-26-2010 02:23 PM

if you want to run 18's or 20's it doesnt matter because you keep saying 32" tires. it will only change the look of them. a 32" tire is what comes with the saharas and rubicons and some sports/x's so going to 32" tire is nothing short of a stock tire height on a jeep wrangler, no ill effects and no problems.

the difference is only in the rim. a 20" wheel with a 32" mud grappler will only make the tire look smaller with less side wall than an 18" wheel.

the stock saharas come with 18" wheels so if you want to see what the over all shape and size an 18" wheel with a 32" tire then look at a sahara

personally i think they will look like sahara wheels painted black is all with a chrome star in the middle... but if thats what you like then go for it. its not going to look outragous like a 20" rim on a 29" tire LOL or "Dub4's" with a 32" tire :D

cameron 07-26-2010 03:49 PM

lol
but the side wall on the 18s will be fine right

yj-genral 07-26-2010 04:02 PM

yes

i know its not the jeep you have nor the flares you ever want! but here is the rockstars with roughly 32" mudgrapplers (best that i can tell anyways)

anyways it will be close to this

cameron 07-26-2010 04:40 PM

are those 20s
and they look great.

KBR97 07-26-2010 04:58 PM

Those look like 18's. They dont look big enough to be 20's.
Considering the new sahara come with 18s, then go for it if thats what you like. But I would stay far away from the 20's.
