Vibration front passenger side

JK 2009 4 door diesel. - I've got a vibration from the front passenger side that is driving me mad. Any ideas please? I'm sure it isn't suspension, wheels etc, it sounds like a body panel or bumper or maybe heat shield vibrating (or resonating) when the vehicle is in motion and revving at about 1200rpm. It sound like something a bit loose but I just can't identify the source (neither could my dealer !). It doesn't happen when I'm stationary and just rev the engine to 1200rpm, only when the vehilce is in motion and 'under load'.
Anyone got anything similar or any ideas what it could be?
Thanks, Johnny.:wavey:

Yeah, sounds like a jeep... I have the same issue, mine is somehow more to the center front, couldn't figure out what it is, so I just turned the music louder :)
btw, nice area u live in, it's on my travel list for this autumn or next spring :)

I'd check out the heatshield. it'll be easy to see if that's the problem. if not, move onto the axle u-joints. the vibrate and growl when the start to go out

Now, are you talking about the Left Side or Right Side of your Jeep? Not sure if you have a Right Hand Drive Jeep, since you're in the UK.

Yes, ditto what you and the others said about the Heat Shield. Jeepers that have removed the Heat Shield, have noticed the Hood bouncing a bit, due to the air flow coming up underneath. However, it sounds like yours is still attached. May just be loose.

Also, might want to check the Wheel Well Plastic. If it's loose, it might be bouncing against your Brake Lines.

What about Hood Flutter? Are your Hood Clamps pretty tight?

Lastly, check your Fender Clips, to make sure the Fender's not loose. You may hear and feel the vibration, but can't see the Fender moving from your side of the Jeep.

Just a few thoughts running through my mind!

Best of Luck!

Cheers, Mate!

I also own a right hand drive diesel Jeep JK and also have that sound. I also had noisy door latches (dealer fixed with thick lubricant) and a noisy panel on the right side where the snorkel goes through the panel (never fixed) and a few around the intake vent under the windscreen, it's just the nature of the shaky diesel engine unfortunately.

Its a real pity, 'cos it just spoils the ride quality a bit - I know its just a sort of resonance but it makes the Jeep sound a bit rough ! Johnny:wavey:
