Different AfterMarket Radiators
I'm putting this out here because I don't want anyone to get confused the way I did;

Spectra Industries no longer makes a radiator for the manual version of the TJ. Instead they are passing of thie idea that it's ok to use the automatic version of the radiator in the manual vehicle.

We finally got all the way with it and had it bench tested/road tested under identical conditions. Guess what, there is a temperature differential of 15 to 25 degrees using the smaller (automatic tranny) radiator. Look don't take my word for it, contact Chrysler's engineering dept. Because they were more than happy to review the results. Knowing that the base of the loyalest customers, is gettign screwed in the aftermarket by some Canadian company that can't own up to it's disception.

However, if you scan the autozone web site, you'll still see their offering the manual radiator while supplies last.

Here you go;

Anyway, if your overheating and you've done just about everything else to try and figure out why? Take a close look at your replacement radiator and make sure you purchased the right one.

I went to a radiator shop and got the all metal radiator since my plastic junk leaked at the seam. It always runs cool and the cost was rather inexpensive.

I put in a new "automatic" style radiator in my manual Jeep. Runs the same temps as with the 2 different old "manual" style radiators. Right at 210*, same place as it has since it was new. This is in AZ, where it gets 118*(sometimes), but usually around 114*-116*.

530ktm, what brand is the all metal radiator? My radiator seal just so happened to go last week around the plastic/metal seal on the top

Terror. I will check to see if there is a brand name but I just went to a place called Ricks Radiator out here in Calif. and they had the perfect fit for the Jeep. I don't think it is anything special as long as it has the same rows, etc.
