coil spacers?

Ok so i talked to the guy at 4 wheel parts a while back about a lift and the costs ect. He said that a 2" coil spacer lift would stress my coils since i have over 100k miles on my jeep. Could I get by with doing that until I can really afford a complete lift like i want?

If you're buying new is there really that much difference between a 2.5" spring and shock lift, vs. a 2" spacer only lift? I think it's only like $100.... But I may be wrong. If that's the case, I'd do the springs and shocks and call it done.

I to was thinking about getting a coil spacer lift, but instead I am going to go with a spring and shock kit. It should last longer and won't take on loads of stress when off road. But I am having a problem finding these spring and shock kits. Can anyone help me out and point me into the right direction?

I went with the 2 inch Old Man Emu kit and really like it. At some point down the road I may do a 1 inch body lift and raise the motor and TC up with some larger tires. All in time though, no rushing.

I went with a Rough Coutry 2 1/2 kit a year ago, right from their website. around $300
Came with springs, shocks T-Case drop spacers.
Bought myself a rear track bar relocation bracket- $35

Just take in account some of the coil spring spacer kits are like 100$ and they dont come with shocks.. if you spend 150$ on shocks your almost to the lift price
