Trails in SE PA?

Hey, anyone know some beginner/moderate trails in SE PA? I live in West Chester about 30 mins from philly. I really haven't been able to test my '03 Rubicon out since I bought it in May.

Skitzic 02-05-2007 01:25 PM

I live a little over and hour from philly, and I've only found two. Paragon, and one in Jersey that escapes me at the moment.

TJGreg 02-08-2007 09:26 PM

where in west chester? Im in east goshen, right at rt 3 & 352.

Im in school in Annapolis most of the year though.

No trails btw, rausch creek and PAP (if they re-open) are about an hour and 40 min north.

TJGreg 02-08-2007 09:30 PM

btw, the jersey is Wharton state forest (pine barrens) water, mud and more water.

Join a local Jeep club, like BMJA. Your best bet is going to be to find some private land you can wheel. I know of a couple, but I can't give out the info for self preservation sake. But they do exist. But you are going to have to know someone to find it.

Look over

Look over at jeeperz.com under PA, its a local club that is really active. The pine barrens are supposed to be decent and there is always the philly arport, yes the philly airport. Hit me up, im always ready to wheel or work on the jeep

Pine Barrens are awesome, but i would not recommend going there alone. Thats actually the place where i broke my Jeep. And the place is about 40 minutes from Philly.

Where at Philly airport do you go? Next time let me know, i'll join you.

Access to the trails is off of Fort Mifflin Road.

West Chester

Whats up,

Nice to see anothe West Chester Jeeper. I live in Frazer, but work in West Chester on Paoli Pike. I do know of a couple little spots around the area, but my jeep is currently waiting for me to fix it. I need a new front driveshaft, Rear end, and tires. The one place I know of is small but good for mud and an insane hill climb. Let me know if you wanna check it out on day. It is about ten minutes from West Chester about one minute from my house. Pm me or let me know if this forum is still open.

Seryoga 02-12-2008 12:28 AM

My friends and I might do some off-roading this or next weekend. Anyone interested?

I want to try the Airport trail, but if not we'll end up in Pine Barrens

Sb5551 02-12-2008 08:05 AM

I would love to tag along, although like I said in my last post my jeep is out of commission right now. If you have the room for an extra let me know. I have never seen or heard of the airport trail untill recently and would like to check it out. Let me know.

Aww, man I'm gonna miss it for school and work. Sucks your not gonna make the RC meet and greet trip this weekend.

pyro 03-26-2009 05:03 PM

Wish I would have seen this yesterday, When u goin back again?

Sb5551 03-26-2009 06:16 PM

I think Jgano is planning at least one trip a month. I am always down for going. If you can only make it one day, feel free to come this weekend. Camping isn't a requirement. Also check the "On the Trail" thread occasionally.

pyro 03-31-2009 10:55 PM

Im doin my lift on 4/11 and Ill be eager to go out and break something after that. Im afraid to go b4 then as I will prolly break something b4 I do the lift. + the first time i tried the lift install I kind of melted a few bushings tryin to remove bolts..... So I cant really drive over 55 and hit a grain of sand or she DWs all over the place.

jgano23 04-01-2009 08:32 AM

April 18th-19th we are wheeling up at Rausch Creek again.

pyro 04-07-2009 09:10 PM

HMMMMMMM when r u leaving to head up there? I work Fri nite (4/17) and finish at 8am on sat..... Ill get back to u after I get the lift done, but it sounds good so far

dooder 04-19-2009 09:19 AM
