driving music

I am sure this has been talked about before but I just wanted to let you know I found the best driving music for your jeep.

What is it you say... two words

LITTLE RICHARD!

from Long Tall Sally to Tutti Fruitti to Whole Lotta Shakin' to Good Golly Miss Molly to Jenny Jenny to Rip it up and pretty much anything else it is amazing.

If you haven't tried listened to this with your top and doors off you haven't lived

Samsrubicon 08-05-2010 11:55 PM

Ahhhhh yeah nothing like the oldies. I got 2500 of'em on my USB stick. 50's 60's now that was music. Top off and music up.....the only way to go.

YoYo-Pete 08-06-2010 01:30 AM

Grateful Dead!

aermotor 08-06-2010 01:30 AM

Recently for me since I got my new Jeep it's been Earth Wind & Fire's album "That's The Way Of The World" — man those first few tracks kill! 27 years old with a taste for true music ;)

Fanfare for the common man by Copland. In the hall of the mountain king by Grieg.1812 overture by Tchaikovsky.# 5 by Beethoven. And the all time greatest Ride of the valkyries by Wagner.Awesome wheeling tunes.

Vroooom 08-06-2010 02:39 AM

Dick Van Dyke singing "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-bang"

I think I need to upgrade to an aftermarket system so that I can share the joy with my neighborhood.

Wesboy 08-06-2010 04:27 AM

X2 Ride of the Valkyries. Used to like 1812 Overture but it only really kicks @ss at the end. And Reggae Dub for something mellow.

chucky cheese 08-06-2010 07:39 AM

x3 Ride of the Valkyries and Sniiff n' the Tears, Drivers Seat.

Find the CD called "Harley Davidson Road Songs"
That's got the proper mix.

drivebytruckerz 08-06-2010 10:52 AM

Allman Brothers, The Band...

ROB719 08-06-2010 11:13 AM

Kspike 08-06-2010 02:22 PM

Bill withers or metallics. Wavey:D

I am obsessed with BPM on Sirius XM Radio. It's a non stop beat, and it's great for driving with the windows down. The sub just kicks, and sounds great.

Wildkarde 08-06-2010 09:30 PM

Zac Brown Band...Just saw them in concert and picked up a couple of live albums because they were so good, Pass the Jar and Live from Bonaroo. Just good music and thats pretty rare from bands these days. Great music for top down cruising.

VVCG33 08-06-2010 09:43 PM

Slightly Stoopid (IMO best group in the WORLD), Sublime, Expendables. Any feel good music. Allman Brothers, Hendrix, Zeppelin. Love rolling through town with this playing.

Iceman 6 08-06-2010 10:14 PM

Gotta rock Bad Religion or Social Distortion. Amazing REAL punk.

Also been hooked on Volbeat lately.

I dig Bad Religion, as well as Rancid. I switch between Punk, Classic rock and Dub music

This.

The Anthology is my favorite for when the pavement ends. It's my habit to take a girl wheeling as a "day after" activity, which means I'm usually hung over, and my favorite hang-over song of all time is "The high cost of low living," so it's also usually pertinent.

SRV is also good; that man could do disgusting things to a guitar.

sonofabeach 08-06-2010 10:38 PM

I just discovered a Sublime-esque group called The Movement and have been banging that lately. Pepper is always good and Buffett is a staple in my Jeep.
The Dirty Heads album "Any Port In A Storm" is sorta my soundtrack this summer.

I discovered The Black Seeds. Some of their songs are pretty smooth and good.

Rancid is cool too.

You should check out Volbeat. It's a cross between punk, metal, and Johnny Cash.

They are from Denmark, so their stuff is hard to find, but its all over youtube.
