Wheeling Turkey Bay 8/14/2010

Met Terry for an afternoon ride today. But before he got there I ran into another solo TJ and stopped short. Young man of about my age and his wife, first time to Turkey Bay. Offer to fall in with me was given and accepted. We met up with Terry and hit the trails again. Then it proceeded to come a monsoon. Terry was topless. :p Only snapped a few pictures but it ws amazing how fast the water came up. Good times!

Kate, I got some pics of one of the rock gardens for you...

I know, right? The double hill was a little more challenging with water running down it like a river!

Dyed in the wool Jeepers right there.

Gate53 08-14-2010 07:28 PM

They loved it when I dropped it in a fast running ditch on the drivers side up to the bottom of the door. But, the daughters boyfriend described the ride home (wet, and cold) as a "living hell" LMAO I told him it was nice up front with the heater on high.

Ageless Stranger 08-14-2010 09:07 PM

I bet the ride home was pretty rough. :(

Wasn't to bad I think they were just using it as an excuse to cuddle. I had fun today and am still waiting for the camcorder to dry out. Thanks for going.

Yep, it was a blast. Like I said, I was sorry that we were cut short there, but we'll do it again! :)

schnutzy 08-14-2010 09:40 PM

Ya know it's not too bad really. It rained so hard so fast that it washed the dust off of the hardpack on the trail. Mostly it was gravel and muddy water all the way back. If it had rained half as hard as it did it would have been a mess. Only my hood, steps and rear bumper are really nasty.

distortedtj 08-14-2010 10:31 PM

Yup Fred does stand out in a spot all his own. I go with him and a few of the other from Campbell on occasion. Him and Angel have been here a couple of months now. Following him is why I can change ojl with only 3.5 quarts of oil now lol

Where are you now Tim?
