No lie... Those things look TINY!!! what size lift is on that thing? thats schweet :punk:

Cons_Table 08-24-2010 05:40 PM

There's plenty of room for at least 40's under there ;) jk looks good, except Im more of a fan of black walls out

Proud Rebel 08-24-2010 05:42 PM

3.5 Rubicon Express, I had to leave room for flexing ya know, I take this jeep offroad.

iamagolfspaz 08-24-2010 05:50 PM

Its the Flat Flairs that give it more room. Looks Great!

daggo66 08-24-2010 05:59 PM

Looks great! They should have at lease cleaned the blue off for you. BTW white letters out means you're a mall crawler. :flipoff:

andreafahy01 08-24-2010 06:00 PM

Wow, what a beast! Awesome!

I was reading the stat sheet on our JK and the tires have OWL in the description, I had to google it: "OWL - Outlined White Letters: The noticeable brightness enhances the overall appearance of the tire. " umm, this was an eye opener. I never thought of it before. I loved my Oldsmobile and VW but it didn't dawn on me to even think of the white lettering. I don't see how it enhances the appearance though. So far as mall crawling, ugh, I hate malls and shopping. I wonder which way our new tires are turned. I've gotten away with never washing the JK so I guess I always overlooked it. Good lesson of the day :)

bobjenkins 08-24-2010 06:14 PM

oh my LJs and JKs 4d make tires look small! those 35īs would be huge on my tj . I seen a JK the other day with big tires I thought they might be 35īs but prolly were more like 40in

ColdSRT 08-24-2010 06:17 PM

OK. You just made my day and ruined it at the same time. I am about to put that lift on our rubicon unlimited and we also have flat flares on it. We are also going for the rear bumper/tire carrier combo. So that gives me a great idea what it will look like and it looks freaking bad ass. :appl::appl::appl:

Now you ruined my day because now I think there is no way I am going to get away with anything smaller than a 35. Was thinking 33's. Once again that looks sweet.

If you don't mind I would like to pick your brain on the lift. Is that the standard or superflex? Stock drive shafts? Any issues? Thanks in advance. Great looking jeep partner.

andreafahy01 08-24-2010 06:21 PM

Yeah, Greg never gets on here unless I show him stuff -- if he sees this he's going to take all the play $$ away from my YJ to get his JK to be kick ass like yours!

I went the 33 route with flat flares. I regret it. They still look small. Next time a minimum of 35s. Maybe even 37s with 5.13 gears sounds nice.

Even still, I went wheeling with some TJ friends of mine and I went places that one wouldn't go, and the other had trouble navigating. So looks aren't everything.

Yours looks great, BTW!

I would love to see a pic of the red beast if you don't mind. I would like to see what 33's and flat flares looks like.

We have a big benefit with our stock fenders and tires. I was able to go places with no noises in my stock rubi. My buddy in his stock unlimited TJ was rubbing his fenders everywhere. Of course he is running wide tires and aftermarket wheels. Looks like a real bulldog. He has since cut his fenders(looks great) and ordered a lift.

malkman 08-24-2010 07:57 PM

I think your jeep looks great! I ordered the rubicon express 3.5 lift as well but haven decided on 33 or 35's. I have a 2 dr. Manual 3:21. I'm thinking 33's may be better for me to start w as I will need to wait till next summer regear. Did u need to do anything else when u put the lift on such as shocks drive shafts etc?
Good luck w your ride.

Croakus 08-24-2010 09:19 PM

Jeep looks killer! I'm in a bone stock Red Rock and you're making me jealous ...

What rear bumper is that? I really like the hi-lift mount.

Speed2005 08-24-2010 09:29 PM

Most recent pics are in my jeep profile.

Nevermind, I somehow missed your Jeep profile page ... my only defense is that I'm still new to this site :D

Anyway, great looking rig!

I'm running the RE Superflex lift with the stock drive shafts for now (in 2 weeks new maybe new drive shafts) with no issues. I still wanted to go to 37's but my Dana 30 axle wouldn't let me, I do have plans to either change to a Dana 44 or just mod the 30 up with chromemoly. I have notice a slight difference in the power but not as much with the 33" tires that I did have. Oh JKW, I'm in Baton Rouge btw. I'm a member of La4x4 and we do have a web site you can check out. As far as the RWL goes on the tire, I'm old school when it comes to that and I call my Jeep the Mall Crawler anyways...:)
