I called the stealership for an O2 sensor today and they told me 80 bucks!?! I know it's been awhile since I've bought one but really? This is my first TJ and I've read they are picky about sensors. Is this price right???
go to www.rockauto.com they sale the NTK sensors (which are OEM installed) for a fraction of that price. Look in the general discussion area (on here) and I have a thread there with a discount code as well
I ordered it. $25 bucks. I hope it fixes my problem. I'm getting the p0432 bank 2 cat code. I've already replaced the downstream. Manifold bolts are tight. Next are the cats.
Well with that low of mileage I would guess it only gets used on numerous short drives?! If so then it could be possible. The engine heats up just enough then gets shut down. This creates moisture and moisture is going to pool in the low spots. In an exhaust system generally the muffler or cat because the rounded parts of them are lower than the exhaust line. Some mufflers are designed with a small hole to let moisture like that out of them.
That's what I'm hoping. I just bought it from its 2nd owner who had it almost 8 years and only put 30k on it. I'm working out the bugs.
