2003 Rubicon, low miles, lifted, very nice.
2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

5 Speed, Soft Top with tinted windows, full hard doors with tinted windows, Black exterior, Black Interior, 50,100 miles. Cruise Control, Auto dimming mirror with compass and temp. display, AM/FM/CD player.

I purchased this Jeep in December of 2006 with 9700 miles on the clock in stock form. I drove it stock until September of 2008 when I had it lifted. At that point, the Jeep had 31,000 miles on it. It has been to Badlands in Attica Indiana 5 times and to Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan 8 times. Less than 500 off road miles, other than that, all road miles. I prefer to wheel for the scenery and relaxation rather than to tear things up or “see what it can do”. This Jeep is my daily driver and I want to keep it very nice.

Rock Krawler 4” X-Factor Long Arm lift
AEV 3” progressive coils
AEV rear spring re-locators
AEV spacers in front
Bilstein 5100 Series shocks
Rear CV shaft
Mickey Thompson 15x10 polished wheels. Never seen salt or off road, like new condition.
33x13.50x15 Toyo Open Country MT tires
IPF headlights with Fatboy bulbs
Kilby Rocker Guards
Riddler Rear Differential Cover w/ lube locker gasket
Warn front Bumper
Custom built rear bumper with reverse lights and tow hitch
ARB rear locker
ARB large air compressor

At 42,000 miles I installed a Sears Platinum battery and new Spicer U-joints and centering ball in the front drive shaft. I also changed fluids in the front end, rear end, transfer case and transmission. All are Royal Purple Fluids.

At 46,000 miles, I installed new Champion Spark Plugs.

At 48,000 miles, the rear locker failed. I installed an ARB rear locker and the larger air pump so tires can be aired up. While the rear end was apart, all bearings and seals were replaced.

Since I have owned the Jeep, it has only seen two salty winters. By the looks of the Jeep when I bought it, those are the only ones. The paint is in excellent shape with only a few minor branch scuffs from Badlands. Pictures show the paint flaking off the exterior door handles and a very small chip in the passenger side door. A quarter is used for reference. No dents, dings or body work of any kind. The interior is in like new condition including the seats and carpet. While this Jeep is not showroom quality, it is in EXCELLENT condition. Always kept clean and waxed. I get tons of comments all the time about the Jeep. It runs, rides and drives great and has no issues. It is a very well cared for Jeep that has had a lot of time, money and love poured into it.

A hard top is available to the buyer at additional cost. It has tinted windows, rear defrost and rear wiper.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Kelly Blue Book prices the Jeep at $16,800 Retail and $14,400 Private Party for a stock Jeep.

My price is $16,000.

TR3YNGLER 08-27-2010 06:25 PM

Wow! That is so me! Gotta find the money for that. Wish me luck! :)

That is a Warn front bumper and the rear has the same dimensions as the front.

I have clicked on the link with a different computer and the pictures come up just fine. Not sure what the problem may be.

TR3YNGLER, best of luck!

What up Elwood? Nice Jeep, is it still for sale? How far are you from the city? New here but am a Jeep nut. Own 3 presently, 2 Cherokee's and a Liberty. Want a Wrangler, Rubicon would make it sweeter. Let me know Bro..... Take care.

Elwood 09-19-2010 09:42 PM

Sorry for the late reply. It is harvest.

As for the city, I assume you mean Chicago? 120 miles from downtown.

Still for sale, price negotiable. I will PM my email addy to you.

Little_TJ 09-20-2010 07:31 PM

Would you be willing to sell the Hardtop separate? Message me if so. Thanks

TR3YNGLER 09-20-2010 08:21 PM

I love your Rubicon and if you had been a dealer and could have taken my Charger in on trade, I'd have bought it from you. Love the color and all that you've done to it. Best of luck on the sale!

Elwood 09-20-2010 10:37 PM

I will offer the hard top to the buyer first. If I don't sell the Jeep, I want to keep my hard top. I will keep you posted, thanks for asking.

I also have a set of 15x10 black steelies with 4" of backspacing with 33x14.50 Super Swamper SSR's mounted on them with less than 3k miles if the buyer would prefer that over the Mickey/Toyo combo. Buyers choice!

InfernoGirl 09-21-2010 07:35 AM

Awww Elwood, you're breakin' my heart.... I'd almost give up my Dirty 'rita for yours if it wasn't a standard.... But dang it I love my girl...... How many Jeeps is too many????

Elwood 09-21-2010 09:34 PM

A good friend of mine has 12, so I have decided that you can't have too many!

TR3YNGLER 09-22-2010 08:44 PM

If I had the money, I'd buy yours immediately. I like everything about it. I still wish you luck on the sale but will be jealous of the new owner.
