New member from Dubai

Hi all,
I just got a brand new sahara unlimited 2009. this is my first wrangler , and pretty excited to do some offroading next weekend.
I live in dubai , so basically will all my offroading will be in the desert , and I would appreciate any tips and tricks for a newbie.

Cheers!

WOW! Dubai???
I'd sure love to hear more about what it's like to live there.

living in Dubai is great ... as long as u understand the traditions and rules of the country.
been here for 4 years :)

plus u can find a desert or a beach 10 mins from wherever u are .. so its a great place for off-roading (ofcourse not during summer when its too damn hot !)

Hi! Congrats! A friend of mine took a job there a short while back, but is back in the states now. He was a trauma surgeon at one of the hospitals there. Said it is beautiful there.

Hey,

My buddy is living in Saudi Arabia. He's getting 93 octane gas for 45 cents a gallon. Are you getting similar? (Welcome by the way).

Hish 08-30-2010 03:55 AM

Well in Saudi i can believe that... But in dubai ,It's not that cheap, the prices increased 3 times since January . 93 octane would be around 1.7$ per gallon

bwdenman 08-30-2010 04:59 AM

I think most people would take regular at $1.70....ha ha ha. I've been in Korea off and on for 7 years. We pay about $3.50 per gallon here.
