2007 Texas Spur II (FALL)

NEW TEXAS SPUR FALL JEEP JAMBOREE NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION

Attention Jeep Jamboree USA enthusiasts! As many of you are aware this year’s Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree sold out in record time (6 days after the start of registration). We are now pleased to announce that a new Texas Spur Fall Jeep Jamboree has been added to our 2007 line-up. The dates of the Jamboree will be September 14-16, 2007. Due to its late addition, this Jamboree will not be listed in the 2007 Jeep Jamboree USA Guidebook.

To register online for this Jamboree, please visit www.jeepjamboreeusa.com or call Shannon at (530) 333-4777, ext. 18.

Amost bone stock?

Should I use the money to go and upgrade my Jeep for next year? I really want to participate, but don't want to tear anything up, or not be able to go anywhere... Just have a 2" budget boost and Pirelli Norseman 30x10. Plan on 15 x 8 steelies with 32x11.5 for next year... money is tight and can't do both

Where is Llano?

A few folks have emailed me to ask "where Llano is Texas".

The Ranch where the driving takes place is the Inks Ranch, home base will be held Oxford Ranch Campground just outside of Llano the Ranch and Campground are about 2 miles apart..

Here is map that might help.

And here are links to lots of Photos from the 2005 & 2006 Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree USA Event.

Take time to listen to a few of the PodCast we recorded at the 2005 Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree. I think it will give you some good info on this event.

Are any of you looking into making this trip?

A lot of the lines have a bypass.

You can run almost all the ranch in your Jeep.

When does sign up start? I wanna go! Gonna take my Dad before he gets too old. Maybe by that time I'll have some goodies for my TJ.

I'm in!

Called today, the lady was very nice. She said others had problems signing up online too. It didn't take very long and now I can't sleep for thinking about it...September is a LONNGGG way off:D

jeeptales 02-22-2007 09:46 AM

Too Cool!

I'm so gladd to hear you are going to join us.

My family told me I had to pick one this weekend.

I could go to a work day in Llano to get ready for the Spring JJUSA or I could come watch my daughter at Cheer Competition.

You know what I did RIGHT?????

I still have 2 other Work days and the JJUSA so this weekend I'm going to watch Alex Cheer!

So many things to do; so little time.

Texas Hill Country Wheeling

I just got an email from Tony Winkler, the South Texas Jeep Jamboree coordinator...

It seems there has been a spike in the registrations for Fall Texas Spur since our weekend in the Hill Country together just the other day.

The event is now over 50% Sold Out still leading any other Jeep Jamboree in country.

I guess the numbers speak for themselves: The Texas Spur has proven itself as a Premier Wheeling event. I hope to see a lot of you in Llano This September.

JPFreek Adventure Magazine will be attending the event this fall, and we will be providing FULL coverage of the entire weekend. Look for the cover story in our Oct/November issue. ;)

You know, we had actually seriously considered that event and we would have done so except that I've got to be in Tulsa that weekend and later in the month, we're heading out on another trip to cover for the mag. Timing just didn't work out. :( Take some cool photos for us though as we'd love to get them in the mag.

By the way, I graduated from Tech and used to camp/mountain bike/Jeep out at PD when I was a student. That part of the state is gorgeous!

Yeah, we really tried but it filled up pretty quick and with magazine deadlines, it was just too tough to pull it off. But we'll be there in the fall so we're stoked and we look forward to seeing you then!

jjseel 06-03-2007 04:47 AM

Getting Closer!:D

They oughta be taken our money, soon!

Scout 06-03-2007 08:08 AM

Have you signed up?

jjseel 06-07-2007 07:49 PM

2/22/07 - The nice lady said the middle of June the package would come out.

Scout 06-07-2007 08:45 PM

I'm kinda kicking it around. I'll have to check though as I'm sure it's already full.

You'll have a helluva good time. Just make sure you have LOTS of skid plates. ;) :D

jjseel 06-08-2007 04:42 PM

Havn't got any yet, but I've been shopping. BTW, have you seen jeeptales around latley?

Scout 06-08-2007 05:00 PM

Nope I haven't seen him. He can easily be reached through his email address on his website though.

jjseel 06-08-2007 05:02 PM

Hope you get to go. For the budget minded, which skids first? Rockers, steering?

jjseel 07-05-2007 06:56 PM
