90 YJ Little Issue Accelerating...

While driving when I try to push the gas pedal about half way or more it acts like its bogging and it kinda bucks a little bit. So I have to either down shift or let the pedal back out. It does it in all gears. Not sure if the carb might need messed with. It has the 6 cyl engine in it if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies...

OK...so me and my old man got to looking around the engine. We found a vaccum line that was dry rotted and off. cut a lil off put that on and the bogging accleration is gone...so im headin to autozone tomorrow to get some vac hose...
also found out that the hose for the gas filler neck is dry rotted and leaking gas when i fill it up...

SO CHECK YOUR VAC LINES....

I had similar problem with my 90 YJ with the 4.2. It turned out to be the engine misfiring caused by arcing within the distributor cap. I had a stock cap and rotor and all was fine as long as I was not putting any load on the engine. However when I tried to lug the engine or accelerate it strongly...lol..., it would buck until I down shifted. I did the Team Rush upgrade and it immediately made a huge difference. Just this mod alone eliminated all misfirings and problems lugging the engine at low rpm's. Do a google search and read how simple this mod is. I did mine with all salvage yard parts and probably spent a total of $20. Good luck in fixing yours.:wavey:
