I'm not new to Jeeps, I'm on my 5th and pretty well driven all the previous ones to the wreckers... usually with over 300k on them and most of them were old enough to drink. Loved them since I was a kid and still hope to one day get an MJ. So far I've had a 1984 XJ (Cherokee Chief), 1987 XJ, 1990 XJ, 1994 YJ and Now I'm driving a 1997 TJ Sahara. Don't get to do as much trail driving as we used to. The place we used to go the passes got so expensive that we stopped going. Now its county roads and snow storms that I go out of my way to enjoy.
Maybe in about 5 years I may get a used 4 door JK... I really don't like that new car smell.... I wait till it fades a bit.

Hello from Maine
I have always had some sort of a project going as long as I can remember, this time I decided to get something that would last a while(everyone up here says jeep projects never end) so I'm getting a Wrangler.
I found an 89 Sahara Edition with 90,000 miles on it that I think is in pretty good shape.
I am a fabricator/machinist so this should be a lot of fun.
I look forward to all the Q&A's

Funny thing about the wave. Sometimes if I don't notice a Jeep in time.... I feel bad.
Another funny thing is sometimes when I'm in my other car. I catch myself wanting to wave. I know other people who've done that too. We all get confused sometimes.
