Hey, I'm delighted to have finally purchased a Jeep; I'm also delighted to have found this forum. It has been extremely helpful with speaker selection (first up on the list), HU replacement and other tidbits. I am looking forward to the vast knowledge you guys and gals have contributed over the years.
I have a 1997 Wrangler Sport (manual/4.0) that is stock with 73K miles. She is a beaut! The previous owner didn't 4wheel, but he also didn't do much of anything beyond changing oil. I want to do some 4wheeling (actually going to Durango in two weeks) so I need some advice on what all I need to do to make sure I am prepared for the backcountry. I am planning on changing the fluids, flushing the cooling system, changing the plugs (and perhaps the wires?) and just crawling under and lubing/WD40ing/inspecting. Any suggestions on additional to-dos or things to look for? Also, what tools should I have on my forays?
Thank you for any tips.....

Welcome to WF. :wavey: Sounds like you already have a good idea of what to do. When I wheel I take some tools with me and that's about it. (so far) I don't have a highlift yet but I did use my factory jack to lift a Sammy yesterday. :)
