I thought the JK knobs just pulled off? TJ's are 10mm X 1.5

I don't know? I guess I'll try pulling it off...If anyone knows for sure, let me know.

They're not threaded. Just a keystone-notched round rod end. Don't recall the diameter but the Bombnob I got had an adapter that fit.

You can just pull it off supposedly. I went at it with a hacksaw and a drummel and final got it off. It might be easier if it is an older JK. There is no threading but the shaft is 5/8-3/4".

i put a wrench under the knob and tapped it up with a hammer.:blunt:

put a leg on each side of the console, and be careful you don't hit yourself in the... face. Mine came off pretty violently...

Here is a pic of how it looks inside.. The U shaped one way clip will, in some cases, grip into the shift lever much tighter, hence making it harder to remove by hammering.. I used a hacksaw to cut off the top of the knob and removed the clip..
