new 4 inch skyjacker lift steering off?

hey everyone. i just finished installing my 4 inch economy lift on my 01 sport wrangler. i took it for a test drive and when going straight, the steering wheel is turned about 75 degrees to to the left. anyone know what the issue could be? i did the tcase drop kit but did not do the drop pitman arm. could that be the issue? any and all help is appreciated!

just go get an alignment. anytime you mess with your front suspension your alignment changes because the drag link moves the right knuckle in more and shifts the tow-in set by your tie-rod.

p.s. dont install the pitman arm its better with the stock one.

Yup just need an alignment, and when they do that they will re-center the steering wheel as well.

so i got the alignment this morning (after a ton of death wobble on 33s at 30mph!). so i drove to work afterwards @60mph, no issues. then after getting off the highway i hit a couple potholes which set off my death wobble at 30mph-ish. what gives?! i did order new poly track bar bushings today. will that help?? not a good feeling that in any instant i could get DW. ugh! any help is greatly appreciated! also, when i install the new bushings, will it need to be realigned since i took off the front track bar?

Sounds like you need to check the front tracbar out closely and make sure you dont have any movement, get someone to get in your jeep and turn the wheels get under and take a close look at all moving steering parts, you can also align a jeep easily yourself

No you wont need another alignment after track bar removal. You should get an adjustable track bar, especially with a 4" lift.
Other than that, some things to look at could be unbalanced tires, or maybe worn ball joints. Theres a sticky thread all about Death Wobble. Check it out, plenty of info in there.

BTW installing that drop pitman arm will only cause Bump Steer....throw it away or use as a paper weight. Older jeeps needed them to correct steering geometry but the TJs dont need it.

For alignment, all that is adjusted is the toe which is easy to do yourself. I've got to go but instructions are around. Do a quick web search. The steering wheel will be off and the drag link needs to also be adjusted which is also easy.

If it were me I would switch to a adj trac and make sure everthing is tight
