Rear trackbar install problem after 4" lift
Did a pretty extensive search and cannot find anything related to my problem.
I just installed a 4" suspension lift and have everything done except adjusting the rear pinion angle (for my new CV driveshaft) and getting the rear trackbar into the relocation bracket. The rear axle is shifted about 1.5" to the drivers side and that is about how much distance the rear trackbar is from fully lining up with the new relocation bracket. I've tried to pull the axle to the passenger side with some straps but I can only get a bout a half inch closer. Would it help if I lossened the lower control arms and sway bar end links?
Wouldn't buying a new rear adjustable trackbar solve the problem of getting the trackbar lining up with the relocation bracket and not address the axle centering problem? I am at a loss here on how to get the trackbar lined up to put the bolt in and how to get the rear axle centered so any help here would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!
A new rear trac bar should set you up good. When I did my 3.25" it was a pain as well. I'm trying to remember how I did it. I believe when I did it I had a jack centered under the axle, trac bar mounted frame side first and while you try to line up the trac bar on the axle side have someone jack up the driverside slowly. It's a pain in the ass my man but good luck and hopefully it doesn't give you too much grief.
