Brakes help!!

Everynow and then my breaks will decide to lock up as soon as I touch them causing the tires to lock up and make my jeep squeal the tires. This is very scary sometimes can some one tell me what is wrong and what to do. I've heard bleeding the breaks will help but idk how to do that

bleeding the brakes isn't going to help...when was the last time you had new pads/rotors done on it? Once they wear down too far they will 'grab' instead of 'slide' and you can cause more damage...

sounds scary, dont break your axle go to a brake place and get your brakes serviced.

Yes, if the brakes aren't new then by all means have them checked/replaced. If they are new and whoever installed them may have went for a cheaper shoe which could cause that problem and sometimes even cause a groaning problem with it. Another possibility is an axle seal went and you have oil on the shoes, which believe it or not will cause the wheels to lock up.

So do you guys think I should just buy new pads and rotors

I'd start off by bringing it to your local mechanic and getting his opinion on it.

Gotta' Agree with YJman.
Take your rig to a trusted Mechanic.

Brakes are one thing I don't want to experience catastrophic failure on the trail. Check your E-Brake tension as well.

E brake doesn't work. That was gonna be my next question lol
