exaust

whats the best and least expensive exaust i could get for my 2010 jk

InfernoGirl 09-22-2010 05:38 PM

Depends on what you want. Do you want loud or quiet, inexpensive or best quality? Good and cheap rarely come in the same box.... ;)

Mr. Sinister 09-22-2010 05:41 PM

best and least expensive rarely go hand in hand.
i'm a magnaflow fan myself, but they are usually a little more pricey. worth the extra coin imho.
dynomax usually has decent quality and it's usually cheaper.

If you are in Indiana, I have a flowmaster axle back in black with stainless tip that you can pickup for $150

Branden 09-22-2010 05:45 PM

Mr. Sinister 09-22-2010 05:47 PM

Hey Infernogirl, 817437 flowmaster force II. Bought it from blue wrangler for 250, put it on for less than 100 miles and decided to go a diff way. I work in Indy and live on the far west side ( pittsboro )

TR3YNGLER 09-22-2010 06:33 PM

cheapest, in my opinion, is to cut off the big, barge-size mufler and replace it with a $39 Dynomax Race Bullet from Summit/Jegs. Done.

InfernoGirl 09-22-2010 07:08 PM

Well, never mind, the man says he doesn't want it... Good luck with the sale... :)

toofar 09-22-2010 08:27 PM

Ditch the exhaust, get a better jeep.

What exactly is wrong with the Jeep he has? It says Jeep right on the front... That makes it pretty darned good, in my book....

Ditch the attitude, go to a different forum.

toofar 09-22-2010 09:10 PM

Calm down. I'm just yankin chains. Flowmaster is the way to go. My opinion.

KBR97 09-22-2010 09:14 PM

Seems like everyday there is another douche coming around stirring shit up. As long as your not one of them ....seemed like it at first glance though.

toofar 09-22-2010 09:16 PM

Honestly, I'm not a fan of JK's, but this isn't about me, it's about offroading. But really, power windows on a Jeep? Again, kidding. Whatever makes you happy.

TR3YNGLER 09-22-2010 09:22 PM

Damn straight! And power locks and push button disconnects and lockers and a hell of a ride, not to mention more room, a freakin' kick-ass stereo. As far as off-road, I'm completely stock and have no trouble at all doing whatever I want out on the trails. The lockers are awesome, I have lots of flex already and haven't had to spend a dime on mods. I will, of course, but I haven't had to yet.

I feel fairly certain you don't even own a Jeep. You have no info, you have no pics of your ride (who joins a forum like this without posting pics of their pride and joy, unless they're doing their pre-purchase research?) and you seem to want to rag on JKs every chance you get as if you even knew anything at all about them. I'm thinking you might be better off going back to smoking your bowls and being a drain on society.

... can you all tell I'm in a bit of a mood tonight? :D

toofar 09-22-2010 09:39 PM

Whatever makes you happy kiddo. I've owned a Wrangler for 5 years. 05 TJ. Why so serious? If your so defensive, than you must feel like you have something to be defensive about. Again. Whatever makes you happy. Power windows, power locks, 4 doors. Cool. Whatever. Not me though. Again, JUST MY OPINION.

whiteyj 09-22-2010 09:50 PM

Power windows, heated seats, 4-doors, electronic disco's, I-gig challenges, mini-van motors, $30k prices tags....one man's treasure ........wouldn't trade the YJ for any of it.

toofar 09-22-2010 09:59 PM

If I had a JK, I would paint a nice fluffy bunny on the hood. Bunnies are so cute and adorable don't you think. I like fluffy bunnies.

TR3YNGLER 09-22-2010 10:03 PM

I'm actually keeping my eye out for a deal on a YJ, whiteyj. Then I'll have 3 gens in the driveway. Reckon the CJ guys will then start in. :) That's ok, I'll probably end up with one of those eventually too.

TR3YNGLER 09-22-2010 10:07 PM

Back to the OPs question... I'd go with the Dynomax bullet. It's cheap and it sounds mean. It may be too loud for some though. It is just a small glass-pack after all. I love them though. I've had them on 5 of my vehicles. Granted, they've all be V8s but I think I'm going to go with one myself when I'm tired of being quiet.

I hope get a fluffy bunny one day.

birdhunter 09-22-2010 10:29 PM

You have a 2010
keep the exhaust stock till it rusts or falls apart
then go aftermarket if you feel the need
my .02 cents
Thats the best and cheapest

TR3YNGLER 09-22-2010 11:11 PM

LOL. I love these Mods.
