Just checkin in!

Hey everyone...kinda hadnt noticed there was a separate forum for us Iowans!

Figured I'd check in...

Have a red 99 2.5L 5-speed. Everything is stock except some bushwacker flares and a KN filter (yes i researched before making my decision). Soon to put a new muffler on (again i researched before makin the decision) with a 2" skyjacker spacer lift and hydro shocks. Also gonna be adding some 31's since i like showin some wheel well and dont want to regear.

Before anything is done (minus the filter) i need to get my head gasket taken care of so if anyone knows how to do one of these on a 4 cyl, let me know! Little over my head i think (already have the head kit).

Lookin forward to meetin some of you...shoot me a PM anytime!

-Matt

There is a "Jeep Fest" this weekend in Nevada that the JOCCI is a big sponsor of you can check out as well and maybe even run the obstacle course if you like. It's all on the the club's site if you want to know more. It looks like a good time but I have other plans I can't get out of so I have to live thru the site to see how it goes. :banghead:

I was actually thinkin over to check that out sunday before the Broncos game!

Gonna see what happens...maybe head out there around 9 or so and head back around noonish

Damn...couldnt make it over there today. Woke up a little later than i wanted and then did some work on the jeep and now my Broncos are on...

Really wanted to go to that too!!!

Also, just an update...got a friend to do the head gasket on my 2.5 for me next weekend for $150. Hopefully this will fix my problem!

I got too busy to get to the Jeep thing too, I already had too much to do but considering the weather it looked like it was ok at least. Hopefully next year will be even better. Good luck on the head gasket!

Agreed haha...I was actually just in Dport. My parents live there (I lived there for about 4 years). I'll be back there in about two weeks so i'll try to shoot you a PM when i'm gonna be around there! Maybe try to find an area to run through...

Rob my wife is from Lineville

Owen there are no Jeep trail areas in Eastern IA. Just gravel roads and snow.

Owen_TJ 09-29-2010 04:11 PM

Oh i know this!

Doesnt mean we cant make our own though...plenty of shallow river runoff areas we can find!

robtangie 09-29-2010 06:42 PM

Roger,
Ah Yes Lineville. Roughly 60 some odd miles from me and right on the boarder. I never been down that far in that direction, but have been to Corydon a few times... Small world.
Regards,
Rob.
