I'm gonna do it. Dropping off my Jeep to the guys at RIPP Tech tomorrow. They'll be installing their Generation 2 supercharger, intercooler and wrapped headers.

Sweet. Do they dyno it for you before/after the install?
09-23-2010 02:26 PM
where is there shop?
09-23-2010 02:45 PM
How much are you paying for the Supercharger and install?
09-23-2010 03:02 PM
Yes, they willl do the dyno before and after. They are located in Staten Island NY...not too far from where I am in NJ.
I'm getting a pretty sweet deal. They just came out with the Generation 2 and intercooler setup and they're using my jeep to document stuff on their end. They needed a 6-spd for testing purposes so I'm getting a decent price on the equipment and they're installing at no cost. I just need to leave the jeep with them for a week or two so they can do all the documenting and testing.
Just happened to be in the right place at the right time!

I will post pics! I really don't think the guys at RIPP will be doing anything crazy with my Jeep. But hey, they are built to take it right?

post the dyno numbers if you can, it should settle some arguments about the 3.8's stock output.

Just dropped my baby off at RIPP. Got to meet Ross finally as I've only spoken to him on the phone. Incredibly knowledgeable guy. Now the waiting begins!

11-23-2010 01:32 PM

Hans' house burned down recently; the Jeep survived the fire as did his GF and pets.
I'm pretty sure that he did get the SC installed though.

wow, did i miss that? sorry to hear about it. poor consolation for losing your house.

I'd actually be interested to see how it turns out. RIPP installed one of their very early superchargers on my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Yes, a supercharged 4 banger. Leave the roasting for some other time. I was just curious to see how they've been doing.

I wanna see pics! Videos! Numbers!
Or it didn't happen

I'll have pics and video, but probably not till next week. My only experience so far is driving her home, finally, and all I can say is OMG Holy Shit! Worth the wait, though only a relatively short drive but it seems like a completely different vehicle.
Will report more, with pics and stats, etc. Gotta finish wrapping, visiting family today (unfortunately can't take the jeep as I've got my fiance's mom who's in a wheelchair to take with us) and Christmas tomorrow so it'll definitely be next week.
Initial impression though, OMG!!!

What, no rack? Guess you never saw Chevy Chase.
12-24-2010 02:23 PM
I want one, can't wait for the pics!!
12-26-2010 01:54 PM
Didn't snap a shot of the header and you can't really see the intercooler because of my front grill trim, but the setup has the Gen 2 Supercharger kit, intercooler, Long tube headers and Hush Power. Here are some pics of the supercharger...
12-26-2010 01:55 PM
Where's the dyno numbers?
12-26-2010 01:56 PM
Can't really see the intercooler behind the trim work, but you can kinda make out the tube running to it here...and the horizontal fins starting in the third oval...
12-26-2010 01:58 PM
I don't have any dyno pics to submit yet, still waiting on those, but I was told it's:
238 rear wheel HP
281LB/FT rear wheel torque
