Curb weight?

Does anyone know the curb weight of my 2003 Rubicon (automatic) without a hard top? It doesn't have to be exact. I'm just looking for the approximate weight from the factory.

Scout 03-02-2007 10:09 AM

I found it. SWB 3857 lbs.

Mike001 03-02-2007 10:23 AM

Mine weighs 5600lbs

Scout 03-02-2007 10:39 AM

Holy cow!!!! What's the difference then?

I figured I had about an additional 500 to 800 pounds added to mine but not near as much difference as you're saying.

I think the last time I rolled mine up on the scale it was like 4500 or so.

Seriously, how did you add 1 ton to your Jeep over stock? With all my armor plating, 35's, steel wheels, and winch I haven't added that much weight to my Jeep.

Rawkon 03-05-2007 12:16 AM

5600 no wonder your snapping ujoints

Triple88a 03-05-2007 12:29 AM

isnt 1 ton ~2k lb? thats one heavy rig there lol On cars.com it say stock tj is 3500lb hard top is around 130-150lb or so isnt it?

Mike001 03-05-2007 07:41 AM

I welded a bunch of steel to it to make the frame stronger and then replaced the rollcage with 3 inch solid steel.

Triple88a 03-05-2007 09:32 AM

3" solid steel? wow.

Mike001 03-05-2007 10:06 AM

Yeah and kevlar for the seat covers

Scout 03-05-2007 12:10 PM

Now I know you must be kidding...

Mike001 03-05-2007 01:04 PM

The kevlar covers? Nope they are bad ass but expensive as hell.

Scout 03-05-2007 01:13 PM

I was actually refering to all of it. If you have kevlar covers then what's the point of it?

Mike001 03-05-2007 02:54 PM

They keep the seats clean and dry and when I weld and shoot guns I don't get burn marks or anything.
