Just bought my first jeep 1999 tj 2.5l. Im loving it especially driving to work on pch to malibu everyday. So its been 2 weeks thought i would go get an exhaust. So i go to get the exhaust put on and when the idiots were cutting the old exhaust off it sag so bad it made my flange bolts come loose. So when it was done they told me that i had a exhaust leak.lol i said it didnt have one when i came here. We argued back and forth got no where so i left. Next day go to a mechanic to have them yank old bolts out and put new ones in. Went to pick up the truck started it and guess what no more leak, paid 100 bucks(rip off). Pull out of the drive way i dont even drive 30 sec car is bottoming out so bad and made me go on to on coming traffic. I pulled over to calm down then turn around and drove back to them. I was heated once again. The guy checks it and i guess the sway bar came loose and my sway bar link was rubbing against the frame on the passanger side, wasnt like that when i drop it off. My question is could it be from them having it up on the air lift and dropping it back down? Oh and by the way they didnt replace bolts cut off old ones then put 2 nuts on them...woooow 100 bucks for that in the wrong bussiness.....what should i do sale it or keep this f-ing thing

It's a great looking jeep. Just go over it very carefully, any used vehicle should be scrutinized very carefully for the stuff the P.O didn't do properly or what has not been maintained. Check for a Jeep club in your area, ask them for advice on good reputable shops to take you rig or just simply ask how to join and get help from members in the club so you can learn to do your own work.

It's a really good looking Jeep plus you're going to REALLY want to keep it when you take the top off and riding on the beach. Take it to another mechanic find out what happened and if it is something the other guys did report them to the better business bureau

Nothing should come loose or change position just because it is in the air so if it did you need to check out all the components. Get some more info on lift, etc as mentioned above in order to know more of what is going on.
