ight...would it give me a 1-1.5 inch lift over the stock stuff.

i cant go too high because of physical limitaions on my part.

You might see a moderate amount of lift with the new springs. The main reason being is the Rubicon springs have a higher spring rate but that could mean a stiffer ride. If all you're wanting to gain is an inch to an inch and a half I'd look into a budget boost. You can pick up four pucks for around $ 25 each and pick up some longer shocks. Skyjacker has a decent BB for around $ 250 which includes the pucks and shocks. I ran it for a little while and it did just fine. The Skyjacker includes everything you'll need.

go for it... but all you will gain is the experience of swapping out springs..

if you had a 1997 SE it may lift you some due to the age on the 97 springs, but since you have a 2006 I sincerely doubt you will gain any height from the Rubicon springs.

take before and after measurements, pictures and keep us informed of the results.

With your rig being an 06 I'd bet you won't see any difference in ride height of your rig. Definitely not enough to waste the time putting them in there.

kewl, thxs for the replies.

are the shocks worth the time if i had been given a new set? i would guess not at this point.

No boss, being that your rig is an 06 nothing has had time to settle at all so you are just as good on the suspension you have.

Yea, it would be the same height but at least you would have a part Rubicon TJ. Everything on the Rubicon is better.

It would be a waste of money unless you just want a better ride. I have a Rubicon 4.5 lift and the ride is way better than stock. I started with the Rubicon shocks killed one in a few years. I have the Rancho 9000's on my jeep now and I like the fact you can adjust the ride.

they wont help, i blew $75 on them for nothing at all

if you are looking for a suspension lift (not spacers) then get a front and rear set of springs out of a V8 grand cherokee (ZJ) ... they swap in and net you about 1.5" up front and 1.75 out back ... though they do stiffen the ride a little bit.
