Fan for heat not working

Replaced resistor before. Now months later, fan not working. I can feel heat coming out of the vents below/defrost up top when on that setting so I'm happy with the temp of the heat. Just the fan won't turn on at all.

I use to kick the bottom right of the dash and the fan would turn on, but that trick has stopped working :-(

Fuse?

Another blown resistor?

What makes resistors blow?

Same problem -_-
Maybe if I reply to enough of these threads someone will answer :)

I Just replaced my switch. Very common problem. You might also check the blower motor. But the switch is super easy to replace and cheeper than the blower. Search and you'll find write ups on it.

sounds like your carbon brushes were sticking and when you kicked it they would move and make contact with the armature and start working.
now they are just worn to the point that you need to replace the fan motor.
they are cheap and easy to replace.
A resistor blows because of two reasons a m/amp surge and or heat build up
both can be caused by sticking carbons and or motor drag.
