Right C-Clip on Dana 35 is not coming out.

I need help. I am replacing the spider gears with a locker and the right axle will not push in far enough to drop the C clip. Any suggestions?

Give the flange a wack with a hammer, it'll move.

motivate it.. also are you upgrading the shaft?

No other upgrades. Just replacing the spider gears. I did this about eight years ago on my '98. I didn't remove the tires or anything. I guess I need to do this in order apply force.

each jeep is different..use the least amount of force needed. Also go lite on the gas with the locker and 33's on stock shafts.

Thanks for the help. I live in Central Florida, so mud and sand hills are all I have.
I will remove the tire and try tapping with a hammer.

Done. Removed the tire and the drum and the axle slid right into the housing. In and out in 30 minutes. Thx!
