Can you just remove the other hose connection, to the right, giving you more room to work on the hose you need off?

Have to transfer the elbow to the new pump.

in my book it shows a different style clamp holding the return line on the elbow. i would just cut the little clamp off with like nail dikes or something. remove the hose. the elbow might be threaded into the pump. it doesnt show how to take it off.
the return hose isnt pressurized like the other style lines. so a standard hose clamp should work.

Every manual, to include the factory all say "remove hose." No one tells how this is actually done.
Alas, the single most difficult question in the universe to get an answer to has finally been solved. It is a press in fitting as I suspected, but was concerned after pulling it out I would find out otherwise.
Thanks for the help. Now to figure out the best way of getting that thing out without damaging it.
