Hi,
I have a 1" bl and a 2" coil lift now and i wont be able to do a bigger susp. lift for a while and ive been thinking about getting a bigger BL. I have a chance to get a new bds 2" BL for $50. if I get this what are the things im going to have to adjust, change, legthen etc... , pros/cons?

and how much do you think i can sell my BL for?, it's a jks 1.25" BL, only a couple months old..

thanks,
-matt

bump! :D ( i have to decide before tonight)

debruins 03-11-2007 05:51 PM

extend gas filler hose
re position the radiator, something to do with the tcase or shifter realignment

and also more likely to rip body off of frame

is the lift complete, and maybe with directions????

willing to pay 40-50 with ship or somewhere around there
PM me if you buy the other

debruins 03-11-2007 05:56 PM

here is the link to the instructions for a 3" lift so two inch lift will have less involved or the same

http://www.quadratec.com/Assets/Installation/60859.pdf

sorry it is really slow to upload, at least on my comp. must be big

right from the qtec pg

Product Details
! C A U T I O N ! For all Jeeps that have A/C, it is extremely important to allow the A/C lines (condenser line) enough space. On some models it might be necessary to cut out a small amount of metal out of the lower part of the radiator. On most newer Jeeps it is enough to simply angle the radiator slightly to allow enough room.

i would be interested in your jks 1.25" lift when you sell it

nicolas-eric 03-11-2007 07:47 PM

you gave to do the following things:

-extend the fuel intake hose
-extend the fuel tank air hoes (to the fuel intake)
-lower the fan shrould
-if you have AC you have to cut something out of the fan shrould at th erightside for the AC hoses
-lower a few cable-connectors that are placed at the wall between theinside and the engine
-install a TC shifter bracket
-install a steering line bracket
- if you have manual shifter: lenghten the shifter

i have AC and auto tranny and i needed about 3.5 hours to install that 2" BL.

here are some pics of the installation: click me

here are some pics with the 2" BL and a 2" BB: click me

some more questions...?

but if your goin' BO type thing that is my tops

nicolas-eric 03-11-2007 08:42 PM

@lost:

take a look at the 2" bodylift you want if all parts are there. it sounds much too cheap.

the performance accessories 2" BL (the only that´s allowed and was crash-tested here in germany) comes with the following parts (932 is manual 932A is auto tranny):

sry- thoght you were just suggesting a price for him

<--2ed in line then

debruins 03-11-2007 08:52 PM

weird judging by the picture here, the performance accesories kit at Qtec doesnt even have half of that stuff

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16047_402_07.htm

I wonder why not, or maybe all of that stuff is the little bolts at the bottom, or they left somestuff out. But you would think for marketing you would throw as much stuff in there as possible???

debruins 03-11-2007 08:53 PM

never mind

I mis read as that whole list was ONE kit and I was like, wow thats a ton of stuff

thats what you get fro speed reading

in my defense it is small type and i just saw how big the list was

in 2-3 weeks we will install another (my 2nd) 2" BL on a friends 98 TJ.
we spray some WD40 on all bpolts every day till then because we don´t want to damage a rusty body-mountig bolt. drilling that out and putting in soime helicoils is too much work. we want to avoid that if we can.

would you happen to have any pictures of stock suspension tj's with 2" body lifts? :D

btw, here's what comes in the kit im getting:

This kit comes with new longer body mount bolts, body blocks , fuel filler extension, radiator relocation, steering carrier bearing relocation, and transfer case linkage relocation brackets.

http://www.bds-suspension.com/php/Pr...ils.php?rid=11

does that sound good?

does anyone have any pics of tj's with 2" BL's? (with stock suspesion and 30"s or with a 2" coli lift and either 30"s or 33"s) :D

 do you think this kit could be for either?

I read one of the writeups for a 3" and 2" BL and it said something about cutting the shifter somewhere down low, do you all think it'll be fine if I just heat up the shifter somewhere higher and bend it or something?

mrbigjeep 03-12-2007 08:51 AM

IMO i wouldn't do a 2" BL.

And do you want to give a reason for that? B/c just saying that doesnt say much :D

mrbigjeep 03-12-2007 09:03 AM

not worth the trouble and cost just for .75". and not to mention the looks of it.

lost 03-12-2007 12:12 PM

well im going to go get it today after school.
after i get this on im planning to get a couple 3/4" coil spacers to add to my 2" lift springs. will i need to get a adjustable trac bar or trac bar relocation bracket or anything like that?

i did the same.. from the writeups it seems that the transfer case shifter needs a bracket or something. Otherwise the lift that Nicolas-Eric posted above should be only 1 lift for both auto and manual instead of the 2 different lifts he posted, 1 for auto and 1 for manual.
