Texas Twister IV
Anyone planning on going to this years event? If you don't know about it, it is held at Trees Ranch and is a great event for any class. The beginner class is a great place to start your wheeling experience. They take alot of time and help you with things. Last year several stock jeeps where there and did great. Also, there are over 40+ trails on 5500+ Acres. It is Memorial Day weekend. If you have never done anything like this before, this is the place. It will spoil you. I will be running in the stock class for at least one day, the first day. My wife will be driving her new LJ :-). Jeep wives are so cool. It is fully catered. You get 6 meals and I mean good meals, Breakfast is a buffet breakfast taco set up, lunch is a good sack lunch with everything and lots of it and dinner is too sweet. There was BBQ brisket one night all you want and steaks the other. It is a heck of a weekend.
The cost will seem hig but when you filter in the meals and that camping is free it really isn't that bad. For the whole weekend and I wheel friday, Saturday, Sunday and part of Monday, the cost is $125 per driver and ride and $60 for the passenger.
Have yo ever been to Trees? Your not too far. From 1604 and 1-10 on the Northside of town it is a bit over 100 miles. Last year was my first year to Trees and I loved it.

Just bumping to the top. We have about 6 going from the SE part of the state. It really is a great place and alot of fun. If you have a stock jeep this is the place to go try it out. The guide cut the trails so they know them very well. You will learn alot about your Jeep and offroading. There are also alot of extreme trails. With more than 40 trails there is something for everyone. Anyone going?

I was there last weekend for my first offroading experience in a stock YJ. Great place the trails are excellent, lots of rocks. I learned a lot from everyone there and only came back with minor damage, but a lot of minor damage. If you are stock I would highly recommend mud tires, with street tires the traction is iffy.
