1993 YJ for $8800- too much?
I don't know what a normal 1993 YJ sells for, but this one has a lot of mods. What do you think it is worth?
93 jeep YJ Wrangler
1993 Jeep Wrangler, I6 with only 8k miles, hard top, spring over axle lift, mile marker 9500 winch, power windows, snorkel, OX locker in rear, 4:56 gears, short throw shifter, suspension racing seats, full roll cage, three Tuffy lock boxes, tons to list! This has been my baby, but have to let it go..
Sounds like a good deal to me. But I'd try to talk him down if possible. If not I'd still take it if i had the money.
I can find a decent one lifted for like 4,500. Then throw in the extra 4 left over and do way more then what he's done. (As long as you don't buy new)
If you got the money though go for it. Looks sexy.
Also note, People on Craigslist will usually take atleast 1k off from asking price.
I'd try for 7 cash.

I'd offer him 7 cash and see if he takes it, not too many people have that kind of money in this economy, most people are looking to make payments.
If he says no give it a day, and if he don't say yes, then say you might be able to get another 500$ and try from there.
Looks to be a lot of money into that bad boy.
This is what he told me by email when I asked him if he was flexible:
"I estimate over $25k invested so will not go below $8750. I agree priced above KBB but everything has been upgraded or replaced."
if it's a new listing, then he won't want to deal yet....if it sits for a few weeks, may be more willing to deal......
It was listed (assuming that is the first time) on 9/11, so it has been over a month. I just don't know that it is worth what he is asking....
If you ask me... with all those mods... i'd do it. But that's just me.
Well you ask pretty much anybody who goes through a lot of cars...
I'm 18, and i've had 10 cars since march of this year (Craigslist maniac) :P
Mods DO NOT add value.
Sometimes it actually decreases value.
Yes the jeep has lots of mods, and to me are the ones I'd want so yea i'd add some value, but not that much.
If you truly want the jeep buy it, but if your okay with waiting, tell him you'd give him 7,500$ cash today, and if not then you'll pass. Tell him you already found another vehicle so you need to know now if he'd take the 7,500.
I guarantee no one buys the jeep for that much. To us people who would want that jeep, yes we would say buy it, but we probably don't have that much and if we magically did we probably wouldn't buy it.
I just saw a jeep for sale on another site with like 50k invested, it was the craziest looking jeep i've seen, it was just plain badass, he wanted 12k for it, and probably sold it for a little less. I just know there are way better vehicles out there for that much cash.
Just my opinion though :) GL
1994 Wrangler yj
Hes a little high too considering its a salvaged title, but I'd rather offer him 3 cash and put the other 5800 into the damn thing.
Would be a lot of money to play with. (Tell the wife it was 9 grand and he has lots of parts on order for you) lmao. That way she don't wonder how all this money is being thrown at it.
Find a TJ for that price.
The fun of buying a YJ is customizing it and fixing it yourself.
Salvage title, rebuilt engine. You are trusting somebodys work?
For the 1st Jeep, Few things: What rear axle? I will guess ford 8.8 as it has 31 splines. Also if he had 25k invested in the Jeep it should be running dana 60's arbs' and whole bunch of other items. Find a jeep and build it yourself if have a 8k budget.. I picked up my YJ for less than 3k with a 4.0L.
