Topless at last
1 Attachment(s)
Finally managed to get topless. I have had my jeep about a month now and this is the first time it has come off. I am sure when winter is in full swing I will be very happy to have the hard top. But right now, I really wish I had a soft top so I could leave it open more.

Need to do something about that.

You need to get those doors off as well!

Congrat's! :)
I agree with Daggo66.
There's nothing quite like cruising in the Jeep without the doors:punk:

As great as it felt with the top off, will be more than doubled with the doors off as well.

I agree on the doors. But I don't have a solution for the mirrors. Is it legal to drive with no side mirrors?

I hate wearing pants, wearing socks, and having the top on my Jeep!

Topless all the way!!!

Depends on your state laws. A cheap solution is to buy HD motorcyle mirrors and put them in the hinges. I preferred to relocate the mirrors. You lose some functionality of the passenger mirror with the door on, but it was not an issue for me. I like not having to switch mirrors around and I go all summer with no doors.

I live in AL. We get too much rain here to leave the doors off all summer. This jeep stays parked outside and is my daily driver.

Section 32-5-214

Every motor vehicle, operated singly or when towing any other vehicle, shall be equipped with a mirror so located as to reflect to the driver a view of the highway for a distance of at least 200 feet to the rear of such motor vehicle.

So no... you don't need side mirrors, your rear view covers you, so long as you can see 200' behind you through it :)
