Soft top to hard top conversion

I recently purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with a soft top. I was able to find a good deal on a used hard top and want to make the switch. I am wanting to know the process of completely taking off the soft top and putting on the hard top. Thanks for your help!

Alex

Simple, unscrew the 4 torx holding the soft top to the roll bars, pull it off, set the hard top on, hook up the wiring harness if you are using it, replace and tighten 6 bolts, put the hand bolt thingy's in the freedom top panels and latch them and the header down and you're done... :)

Couldnt say it better just wondering if your rig has a wiring harnesd for the rear wiper and your steering wheel stalk levet has the controls good luck

Probably not if it only came with a soft top from the factory... They can be added, but aren't necessary...

don't forget to take those pesky door surrounds off... they are for the soft... they would be in the way of the hard

Thanks for the help guys. I am planning on selling the soft top since I am in an apartment and just do not have enough room for both. Any ideas of a starting list price for a GREAT condition soft top with all the hardware?

Sell the hard top.... more mod $ and no need to worry about storage...

Oh, nevermind....... ;) You're gonna miss it....

Umm, if storage is an issue, then I suggest getting rid of the hard top, unless u don't ever plan on taking your hardtop off. The soft top doesn't take up much room and is better in the summer IMO.
I say keep em both ;)
