who are the Allman Brothers?

burton160w 10-31-2010 12:40 PM

I voted and I like it, nice mix between trash and hardcore with some good pockets that break up the parts. I wanna hear some more breakdowns, but the vocal consistency is good. Let me know if a CD or demo is available, I'd be interested.

Hwy 41 is runs parallel to I-75 from the tip of Florida to somewhere further north than Ive ever ventured. It is talked about in an allman brothers song called "ramblin man", second verse ".....and I was born in the backseat of a greyhound bus, rollin down highway 41" the allman brothers are the second greatest band to ever form (second only to g mule), and in my mind had the best singer if all time, Mr. Greg Allman. The notion of someone not knowing who the brothers allman are really breaks my heart. I'm guessing your younger than 21? Bc anybody older than 21 had better know the brothers, it's a right of passage into man(or woman)hood. It's the free southerners equivalent of balancing on top of a large log for days on end like the Indians used to do. My suggestion to you is to open an iTunes account stat, and start downloading everything they ever played, then when your done with that, do the same thing with government mule, then when your done with that......who am I kidding? Anyone who listens to these bands can never truly be "done" with their music. It's gets inside of you, grabs onto something, and won't let go.

^ All of my friend's teenage kids prefer 70's rock over the new "music". Heck, my 10 year old just downloaded some Beatles, Three Dog Night, Foghat, and Zeppelin. No slam on Forced Asphyxiation, but the stuff coming out nowadays isn't going to stand the test of time. IMO

pokey no need to worry , even tho he plays that , he still listens to the oldies . he enjoys classical music, 50's 60's anything but rap.
