Jeep Parts - Shipping to Germany

Hi,

today i tried to order some things (OME lift, disconnects,SYE, CV driveshaft, ...) from www.dpgoffroad.com. But they mailed me that don´t ship to Germany.
www.northridge4x4.com also doesn´t ship to Germany.

Do you know some Jeep parts companies that will ship to Germany?

I want to order in the US because the german parts dealers will have +1300$ for an OME lift kit what´s twice as much as it costs in the US.

Thanks in advance.

nicolas-eric :)

I don't know, but I'm a little disappointed and surprised that they won't ship to you in Deutchland.

i´m also disappointed.
i want to buy jeep parts forabout 1800$ and they don´t want to sell it to me... :( :flipoff:

Wouldn't the shipping kill the price break?

the OME HD suspension costs 1300 $ here in germany and only 650 $ in the US. a SYE and CV driveshaft costs 1450 $ here in germany and only about 500 $ in the US. the JKS disconnects cost 270 $ here and only 130 $ in the US. all jeep parts are very expensive here.

if shipping will cost half of the parts price it would be still cheaper than buying it here.

does http://rustysoffroad.com ship to germany? i couldn´t find an e-mail address on their site to ask them some questions.

i wanted to send them a mail and ask them for the shipping rates to germany. but i couldn´t find an adress.

i´m at work now and i´m not allowed to call some people in other countries. and using the mobile for that is much too expensive...

tiny terror 03-20-2007 08:29 PM

I couldn't find one either. :(

a jeep parts company with an online store that doesn´t have an email address is a strange thing in my opinion...

i think i´ll send them a fax when i com home.
now i only have to find out whichnumber i have to call if i want to send a fax from germany to the US...

You know what. If it would work out for you I wouldn't have a problem letting you ship to my house and then having me ship it over seas for you. We could see what the package weights would be and then price it out for you. I hate to see people getting screwed.

Also let me talk to Joe tomorrow and see if he would be able to ship some things internationally for you.

You might want to look into that Jeep Group Buy thing. That would be similar to what BLKJP is proposing. The parts will come to a central location and they are shipped out from there. They may be able to help.

Does anyone have any info on this I can't find my link.

www.4wd.com gave me their shipping rates to germany:

200 $ for the OME suspension, a SYE, a CV driveshaft and some JKS disconnects.

that sounds expensive, but with the german VAT and wages it´s still 40% cheaper than here in german shops.

Just a heads up, you may have a problem using your credit card if the companies don't ship overseas. A coworker from the UK wanted to purchase a camera and have it shipped to an address in the US. She couldn't make the purchase becasue it wasn't a US card. I ended up buying it for her and had her transfer the money to my account.

It might be something in Customs on either end. I order some parts from a web site here in the US. I got curious after a week and no word came from the place I ordered from. Turned out they drop shipped the parts from Germany and they were stuck in an inspection there. Been a month now and they made it to the US but are now stuck in customs in New Orleans.

If a company doesn't want to deal with the customer relations involved in that (i.e. Me or anyone else screaming at them because they never informed me of anything), they might opt to not ship overseas.

Just a thought.

Best bet is to keep asking different places if they ship overseas, and I agree a site that has no email contact or adress seems a bit fishy to me also.
