Squeaky Steering

Ive been having a problem with my '97 where the steering wheel likes to squeak a lot while turning. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and wether or not I should just hit it with WD 40 or any other kind of oil...thanks

Might be an issue with something called the clock spring, I don't know enough to tell ya why it does or what the part looks like, just that I have heard it be the reason sometimes.

Could be anything causing it. Power steering pump, belt, all kinds of fron t end parts, etc. Do you know where it it coming from?

Look under your dash. There is a rubber grommet in the firewall where the steering shaft makes its way under the hood. Put some lube on the rubber grommet and be squeeky free. :)

X3! Mine sounded like angry ferrets when cold. Lube the rubber gasket with white lithium and you're good to go.
