Smittybuilt soft tops

Ok i know Smittybuilt is pretty much ****, but they have released a new line of tops, and im i need of a top fast, my top got ripped 13in from the passenger side to the middle, from a tree brach on my last trip out on the trails. I found a Smitty top, brand new, tinted windows for $240 shipped on ebay. Anyone have these or another budget top, winter is very close here in Ohio.Whats your thoughts, pics welcome

Sry last response was short. I got mine from eBay as well and I have the tinted windows. Got mine for two hundred with free shipping. Alot of people are gonna hate on the smittybuilt top but they don't own one. I do and have posted several times on this issue. I wasn't sure about it when I clicked buy it now, but have been very pleased and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget. No it's not the highest quality top and there are minor flaws. Mine has never leaked or failed in any way as of yet. The windows are very dark at night and seem pretty sturdy. For me it was easier to put up and down as opposed to the factory top as far as latching goes. I have owned several tops including factory and the smittybuilt top has held it's own since I purchased it. If you need a decent top at a good price then get it. I also recommend the rugged ridge tailgate window bar. It came with a tailgate weather strip and makes a firm seal as well as eliminating rattle that might be caused by the spare tire bouncing up and down. Hope this helps!

If the top is still in good shape why don't you have a patch sewn in.

I had a smittybuilt top for about two months.... Biggest waste of money ever. The zippers were the main problem on mine. Broke the one on the rear window the second or third time i took it out and the side windows were a pain to zip back in. Also the upper doors didnt seal very good. I went back to my old junk top for now. Pockets arent deep enough to buy another yet

Duct tape that tear and save up a little longer to get a good quality replacement top from Bestop. In my strongest possible opinion, Smittybilt's tops that are 100% imported from China with thin fabrics aren't worth installing.
