What gearing should I get?
My Jeep is getting pretty heavy with all the aftermarket parts that I am adding and losing some noticeable power. I would like to know what kind of gears I should get to gain better overall performance for automatic tranny. I have 31x10.5x15 AT and might go to 33's with OME 2.5" HD lift in the future. I'm using this as a hunting rig and DD.

Below is my jeep specs.

Stock Suspension
Stock engine
I6, Auto
3.07 gear :banghead:
Kargo Master cage, safari rack
Front and rear Body armor bumper with tire carrier
Body armor slider
Front winch

4.10s would be good for 33s with your I6/32RH combo.

yeah that's what I was gonna say too....just get a complete set of axles from a 4 popper

So 4.10s would work with 31" tires for now?

sure no problem, you never want to overgear....then that kills your cruising speed

Any gear brand you recommend?

I would just look for a complete set of axles out of a 4 cylinder jeep and just swap em that way. Otherwise I have had good luck with Yukon gears

Cool...thanks for your advice.

Motive gears are pretty good as well.

After talking to a local Jeep specialist, he advise me to gear both axles to 4.10s on a 31x10.5x15 tires. This will increase my rpm to around 2200-2300 at 65mph. Does this sound right? I want a low end torque and be able to maintain speed or increase when going up hill on the freeway. I might just stick with my 31s tires since going to bigger lift and tires will open up another credit card.:D
