Toyo - Open Country M/T's

To buy or not to buy? That is the question!

I'm interested in installing the Toyo open country M/T's on my Jeep and was wondering if anyone had any input as to how these tires perform in the mud and snow? I have already asked around a bit and I heard one warning of the tires being a little heavy for Jeeps so to Stearns clear, does anyone else agree with that? I have a 2004 Rubicon Unlimited with no lift at the time.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you, Ty

I'm planning on putting them on my Jeep too. I have Toyo M/T's on my dodge pick-up and I absolutely love them. (That's why I can't wait to put them on the Jeep.) They perfrom real well on the truck, in both mud and snow. But the truck is pretty heavy. I've seen threads where people say to be careful because they "dig" into the snow and you can find yourself stuck. I'm going to give it a shot. If you get them, let us know how they do.

A lot of guys around here run them, but they are very expensive for some reason, $340 Cdn per tire.

I had them on my other Jeep and they were awesome tires. I loved them and would buy them again.

I have them, just got them on sale and have 3000 or so on the road so far. I love them, both on the road and off road. I also know a lot of guys that run them on full size trucks and like them ad well. They are definitely not cheap but if I'm gonna spend cash on one thing it's tires- definitely worth the investment.

Have a set of 33x13.50's on mine.
Seem to fine so far, but need to really drop the pressure to work well on rocks.
HEAVY as well-good lord!

Not sure about the Toyo Open Country's. But today I have a new set of Yokohama Geolanders (33x12.5 R15) installed today. Testing them out tonight after work, I'll let you know how it does in the rocks and the sand.
