2000 tj vibration ???
 
i have a 2000 tj with 4.5" rubion express lift on 33"km2s, rustys off road track bars with rustys rear adjustable upper control arms. when i am in high rpms 2nd gear or low rpms 3rd gear i have violent vibrations. if i drive in 4 hi the vibrations seem to go away. my question is does this mean my rear pinion angle is still off?

What drive shafts do you have? TC drop?

t case drop is at 1" and stock drive shaft

Dude i could be wrong but I think you need a CV driveshaft. It should help with the angle, therefore eliminating vibrations.

I would agree either try more t case drop or get an sye and cv... Remember the t case slip yoke and diff shoild be parellel

As close to parallel as possible. I don't think you can make it perfectly parallel.

Yes obviously and with the re 4.5 its not going to be close dropping it down firther will probably help some and a cv shaft certainly woulsnt hurt it

i had put the 1 1/4 inch tcase drop and adjusted the contol arms and no matter what it had way more vibration and the angle it put the motor and trans at was durastic. as far as a sye and new drive shaft i am tryin not to throw money at the truck to "try" and fix the problem. according to rusty at rustys off road 1" t case drop is the most i need. also with 4.5" lift the sye and drive shaft are not totally needed. i am asking for my little brother this is not my truck. so i am trying to see if there are other possible ways to go about this before i drop the t case and install a sye. i am assuming it is the angle still and i am off just a little because the vibration has decressed since the different drop and adjustments

Rustys is full of crap. You need a CV at 4.5 I have 3.5 and had wicked vibes till I dropped it an inch.

Yup i had about 3 and had vibes after a while.. Do you have a dana35 or 44 . The 44s shaft is alittle shorter so it makes it seem worse, im not positive if the difference in manual or auto plays into the shaft length which is the problem. It can be from the u joints too.. If your really not going to fix the problem put ne joints in and try it.
