I have a 92 sahara wrangler,6cyl.,5speed and want to lift it about 2" and buy rims and tires but dont know were to start, i dont have much to sped, maybe you guys can give me some info,im not looking to go to crazy with it,just some hill climbing ,trail stuff and very very little mud,I was looking at this

And if i went with this lift kit what size tire and rims should i use, idont want to have any rubbing but want somthing big and dont want it to mess with my gearing and mpg,maybe some pics would help,thanks

Look at the rough county YJ lift I have the 4" but they also make a 2.5"+/- price is below $500. I will be running 33's with 4", I would think the 2.5 good for 32's, 15x8 rim and 4 to 3.75 backspacing for the rims.

What about drive shafts or anything else that i might need to complet the job?

i'm also looking at 2.5" RC suspension kit on ebay. it has shocks, springs, and they claim all hardware needed, however it does feel like something is missing. Is that supposed to be all for installing the kit or brake line extensions are needed, and perhaps some other stuff? I thought 2.5" was the max I could go without starting modifying transfer case mounts, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong

2.5" is safe to where you won't need a t case drop, buy it's never a bad idea to extend your brake lines. It's cheap and easy and it makes your lifted Jeep a whole lot safer. You can either get extension brakets (more of a "band-aid" to fix the short brake line problem) or stainless steel braided extended brake lines. Rough country's 4" kit comes with the extension brackets and the t-case drop and it's about the same price as the 2.5". In my opinion there's not much of a reason to go 2.5 instead of 4. The springs will settle down to about 3" anyway. I've had the RC 4" kit for about a year and a half and I out my Jeep through some pretty rough situations haha. I haven't had any problems from my suspension since I upgraded.

I was shooting to have "the best of both worlds" but my point is thats it is my daily commuter and I have a couple of little kids. You see my issue now :) I need it to be higher but still more adopted to mixed driving that to off-roaring alone

With that factored in it may make more sense for you to go with the 2.5. Only you know what's best for your situation.

As for the SYE and CV driveshaft- 4" suspension lift is the maximum you can run without the two and you will need a 1" tcase drop to avoid seizing your u joints up.

ok so i just got off the phone with Rough county and they said that with a 4" lift there is no need for sye or new drive shafts he said the kit comes with a t case mod that puts everything back inline after the lift,so clawed95 you are rite about 4" lift and not needing any extra parts for the drive line,thanks guys
