H4 Headlight wiring harness

OK, there are TONS of headlight threads, but I haven't had much luck finding a link to a supplier for what I'm looking for.

I just ordered some Hella 002395991 7" H4 Type lights and 100/55W bulbs to replace the sealed beams in my 2005 TJ. I want to upgrade the harness to one with relays. What would be a good choice?

Might move to HID later, if I'm not satisfied. Silverstars were a step up, but not enough. Same harness, or not?

If there's a thread specific to this, I couldn't find it in a search.

No you need to install a harness with relays and use the OEM harness to trigger the relays. I have one on my TJ and will see where I picked it up.

Found it. Heavy Duty Headlight Wiring Harness with relays increases voltage over stock wir suvlights.com HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESSES & WIRING KITS

It's the $49.00 harness for H4's.

9003/H4, 9004/HB1, 9005 & 9006, 9007/HB5 -single harness for 1 pair/both headlights (low & high beams)

Yes that is the harness I used.

Thanks!

If I upgrade to HID, will that same harness work? Also, what bulbs are you using. I'm not sure if the Hella 100/55W will be strong enough.

I am currently using Xenon 130w bulbs. Not sure what the connection on HID's look like. The Xenon HID's on the wifes OEM Maxda do not use H4 connections.

With regards to HID, I would not use them with that lens, you want e-code lenses and you do not need a different harness for HIDs.
