Howdy . . .

hi, i'm new to the forum. i have a 93 YJ. it's my first wrangler, but second jeep. i've wanted a wrangler for years, and i'm so excited about finally having one. i do some wheeling, but not heavy. there's nothing like cruising around on a beautiful day with the top down and doors off. i'm gunna start doing some mods in late winter or early spring, so i'll be snooping around for some ideas. oh, btw, my name is Allen, but everyone calls me big AL.

Hey, Big Al. Welcome to the forum. Love your Jeep. Looks a lot like mine.

How do you like those half doors you have there?

i love em for a warm day. but, the guy i got the jeep from(traded my XJ straight up) lied and told me i could use these with soft uppers. i know, i should've researched, but now it's parked for the winter with no full doors. with christmas fastly approaching, i can't shell out too much money for doors. but, it's okay, i'll get some doors after 1st of year, and be good to go. i'm planning on having it painted in february anyway, so it'll be a good time to add doors and have the whole thing painted.

new doors

If you were really good...

couldn't you just ask Santa

I'd sell that hard top and those doors. That will give you plenty o' cash for a soft top and half doors that you can use uppers with.

i've definately thought about that, as i'm not too big on the hardtop. too much of a pain to take off and on, plus storage.
