We just bought a 87 YJ here in Bismarck. My husband is a muscle-car guy, so I'm the Jeep girl. So I'm kind of on my own restoring it...so I might be asking lots of questions! If I see you, I'll be waving! I'm the blonde in the maroon YJ!

I'm from Bismarck, but now I am stationed in Arizona.

littlelionman 07-07-2014 09:56 AM

I live outside of Mandan. Just bought a salvage '95, it needs a bunch of work. It came with a super annoying/tacky pirate type of decal on the hood, that's how you'll know it's me.

Do you have any experience with YJs? I'm outside of Mandan and I'm working on a '95 rebuild right now.

eriksz 01-03-2015 12:45 PM

I haven't owned a YJ. But swapped the YJ fuel injection onto a cj. Some of my friends have had yjs. What part of your build are you focusing on now?

I go to school out of state so I haven't been working on it a whole lot and won't be doing much until the summer, but right now I'm working on the brakes. I rebuilt the rear axle so I got some new brake lines and a lot of air in the system. The drum brakes in the rear have been pretty tricky too. Pretty basic stuff but I'm new to mechanics so it might take me a while.

Hey, if you see this plain ole jeep in Bismarck give a wave. The successful jeep wave is about 10% it seems!

I have been making a conscious effort to wave big in hopes others will catch on. Up to about 20% now. So if you see me.....anvil on duratrac 33s/black rims, winch on front with yellow hook, yellow clevis on back....I'll be giving the vigorous wave
