Did you make the news? Tie up rush hour for hours? Run over a school bus?
Was it anything with pictures worth sharing?

Half the time I can't even park the Jeep in the lines let alone park a big rig

clear lake jeepn 12-16-2010 03:37 PM

practice with a jet ski trailer....u back one of those...u can back anything!

toshpate 12-16-2010 03:55 PM

I have so jacked a jet ski. they are light and tough as heck to back

bigrat59 12-16-2010 03:57 PM

I think it's a lot easier to back a truck with a 53ft tlr than anything short. First time I backed my boat with my jeep I was all over the place! I felt pretty stupid since I've been driving big trucks for years.

Ted_D 12-16-2010 05:07 PM

If you want to back do it with doubles

YJPunisher213 12-16-2010 05:11 PM

I practiced by backing over my mother in law

daggo66 12-16-2010 05:14 PM

When I was in college I owned a 1970 Plymouth Duster that I could not back up straight to save my life. I was backing out of a driveway once and clipped a fence. The entire 50 feet of fence fell down.

How come my comment got deleted?

bobjenkins 12-16-2010 05:30 PM

I'd like to try it. I'm good at backing up whatever. But out makes it harder when you can't see behind you

I tried that once.....didn't turn out well...

Vaultzz 12-16-2010 05:46 PM

I backed up and turned around while towing the YJ with the XJ :D

(I know your not supposed to back up while flat towing but I needed to :p)

It was super hard! especially with the YJ's steering wheel unlocked :banghead: 4 turning wheels only works on the hurricane

My dad started driving truck in the womb. He drove everything. He backed everything. When I started driving on the farm he taught me to back. Everytime I turned my head around to look at the wagon or trailer he would slap me in the head. Not some silly love slap. A slap the color from your skin slap. I learned two things very quickly, stay in school and how to duck you head to avoid a slap while backing up a trailer.

InfernoGirl 12-16-2010 07:10 PM

Hand on the bottom of the steering wheel. Which ever way the hand goes, the trailer goes..... :) That's how I learned.
