Texas TC 12-23-2010 08:44 AM

On my 2007 Wangler, the rollover valve stuck. It would spit gas back out of the tank when fueling. The fuel tank had to be replaced at 22,786 miles.

JIMBOX 12-23-2010 09:10 AM

 '08 JKU Rubi-

iamagolfspaz 12-23-2010 09:22 AM

Knock wood. Just about 60,000 and nothing has had to be replaced.

jeeptester 12-23-2010 09:38 AM

Im thinking my front seal leaking was due to alot of mudding we do, and mudd may have got behind pully and rubbed on seal IDk. Or maybe because it uses Soooo thin oil LOL

john's ct jeep 12-23-2010 09:57 AM

our 08 at 35000 the back brakes. That is the oddest thing

Texas TC 12-23-2010 10:03 AM

My 2007 Wrangler required rear brakes at 27961 miles. I thought that was way too soon. I traded it in at over 47000 miles and it never required front brakes. It might have just been a bad set of brake pads.

I'll bet it had something to do with a rock!

lighthorse 12-23-2010 11:01 AM

Wore a hole in the drivers side carpet floor mat at 2,000 miles, replaced under warranty. The corner broke on the removable hard top passenger side panel at 2,500 miles. I had to pay for this one because they insisted that I had damaged it even though it was not properly bonded at the factory. Mopar owes me $350 on this one in my opinion.

'09 JK manual, from the 200 mile mark would kick out of first gear, gave me a complex, b/c I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong or replicate (sporadic). I self-medicated until I took it to the dealer, and just used 2nd. Believe it was a synchronizer issue. Luckily, it happened to the garage manager when he drove it into the shop. He said there was a advisory of sorts about the issue.

Macnerd 12-23-2010 01:02 PM

2000 mystery soaking of drivers side carpet. Thought it was one of the two plugs becuase of the area, but the metal underneath and the plug appear dry...

ncossey 12-23-2010 01:41 PM

65k, had to replace the cable that changes the vent selection on the a/c-heater unit. It bent and wouldnt change anymore.

seadog 12-23-2010 03:11 PM

Wiper control, 500 miles. Would run at the slowest intermittent speed, even when off. Definitely warranty.

I honestly have no clue. I don't do any hard core offroading. The handling and creepy popping just kept getting worse and they told me it was the shaft. They replaced it and it drives like new again. Before it felt as if the front.end was gonna pop parts off when I drove.

I also should add I had my rear brakes replaced at 21k. Dunno why those went bad so fast either. Front are still good with about 80% pad left.

inzgary 12-23-2010 03:30 PM

15000 Had seals leaking in the tailgate. Warranty.

jeepjones 12-23-2010 03:33 PM

Seriously people, take a good hard look at this list. Do you realize now how much a POS a JK is?

Would be the same for other models if they took the time to list all of their issues as well

JIMBOX 12-23-2010 03:41 PM

 Yea, mine must be a POS--

Everytime I fill the gas tank, the stupid gage just goes DOWN, I didn't think it was supposed to do that--warranty ???

emica 12-23-2010 04:00 PM

46000 km's nothing has broke "knock on wood"

Texas TC 12-23-2010 04:00 PM

Yes, they are such a POS that I have owned four of them. Guess I am just a glutton for punishment. LOL.

Having said that, aside from off road capabilities and the pure fun of driving a Wrangler, there is not a better vehicle to tow behind a motor home on the planet!
